Blessings, Blessings, Blessings

At a recent District Meeting I was accused of loving my grandson. Guilty!

Dean is a happy, almost three year old, energetic boy. He is wise as only small children can be. Their minds and experiences are fresh and uncluttered about the sometimes harsh realities of the experiences of longer life. I love his mom too and she has always set a great example when it comes to praying with him.

Having progressed to the point of wanting to actually lead the mealtime prayer, he was all smiles when his mom asked if Dean wanted to lead the blessing. His little hands came together and he scrunched closed his eyes and then he proudly said…..”Blessing, Blessing, Blessing.”

A simple prayer, not complicated, not lengthy, not boastful…..a child’s prayer.

But to Dean; to me; and I hope to you,…… in the mightiness of God’s abundant giving to us…..prayer enough.

In this week of Thanksgiving……”Blessing.”
