Children’s Events

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” – 1 John 3:1

While our ConneXion and Worhip Hour classes each Sunday are the foundation of Children’s Ministries at All Saints’, we celebrate and Praise God through a variety of seasonal experiences that reflect the Christian Calendar.

Vacation Bible School

Each year, All Saints’ sponsors Vacation Bible School (VBS), a fun and age appropriate experience where children learn more about God and make friendships that last a lifetime. For VBS, we focus on a theme, such as outer space, cooking, or “under the sea.” Activities normally kick-off on Friday evening and culminate during the main Sunday service with a special presentation from the kids. For 2012, the dates for VBS are the 10th, 11th and 12th of August. This event is open to All Saints’ children and guests are always welcome! For more information, please contact Laura Pierrie.

Easter Storytime

A new tradition at All Saints’, the Easter Storytime event is an opportunity for families to gather for a child-centered celebration of the real meaning of Easter. We will cling to the tradition of an event steeped in learning and the great story that is Easter, from the last supper to the resurrection of Jesus. There will be picknicking, games, and an egg hunt with a special twist.

Christmas Specials

We always celebrate this time of year with something special. While the event may change from year to year, in the past we’ve enjoyed caroling, making advent wreaths, and celebrating Christ’s birth in a manger. Please keep an eye out for details in the All Saints’ calendar as Christmas approaches.

Parents Night Out

Our best kept secret? Sometimes Mom and Dad need a night out for themselves. Parents Night Out (or PNO as it is affectionately called) is meant to give Mom’s and Dad’s just that, a night out while their kids can have a Saturday night of play, food and friendship. Check the All Saints’ calendar for the next PNO and give yourself a break!

…and that’s not all

All Saints’ kids stay active throughout the year. The Children’s Ministry is dedicated to providing service opportunities that allow children to experience the joy of helping others. From participating in “Stop Hunger Now” to serving firemen and schools during the “Be the Church” series, or creating Valentine’s Day cards for veterans, our children learn how serving with their hands brings them closer to God.
