Youth
“Young men, follow the lead of those who are older. All of you, put on a spirit that is free of pride toward each other as if it were your clothes.” – 1 Peter 5:5
All Saints’ Youth Ministry
The goal of the Youth Ministry at ASUMC is to create a community that engages the hearts and minds of our youth and helps transform them into disciples of Jesus Christ. We involve our youth in the church in a variety of ways—everything from Sunday School to bi-monthly meetings to large-scale mission trips.
ConneXion (Sunday School)
Because being a better disciple of Christ is an ongoing learning process, we offer Sunday School class each week for youth from 6th grade through high school. These classes, held at the same time as the children and adult classes, give our youth the opportunity to explore the defining aspects of our faith in depth. Some of our past studies have included a series on spiritual gifts, prayer and a youth catechism.
Youth Group Meetings
These evening meetings, which represent the best opportunity for you to become more involved in this ministry, are generally held on the first and third Sunday of each month. As fun as they are spiritually enlightening, meeting activities include playing games, engaging in mission activities in the community and growing closer to each other and to God as we explore our faith and its meaning in our lives.
Confirmation
All Saints’ is preparing to begin our very first confirmation class. By taking this class, our youth will deepen their understanding of the church and the Christian faith through a mentor-based system—where they will be paired up with an adult leader from our congregation who will walk with them for a 13-week study. This is an important part of our lives in the church, and we will be forming this class from our high school youth.
All those interested in participating in our first confirmation class, should contact Cameron Merrill. also view our Confirmation page.
