The coming of Advent jolts the world out of Ordinary Time with the invasive news that it is time to see real possibilities for deliverance and wholeness. It tells us to open up our lives and our souls with active anticipation and renewed hope as Jesus arrives. It’s a brand new liturgical year!
At All Saints’, we’re celebrating Advent this season with these seasonal events:
Friday, Dec 15 - Caroling at Brier Creek Commons: Come and join us for a night of joyful singing at Brier Creek Shopping. We will gather at 6:30 p.m. beside Barnes and Noble, and sing for about 40 minutes to passers by. Musical skills are not required! No RSVP necessary. Please email Rozanna with any questions.
Thursday, Dec 21 - Longest Night Service: Advent and Christmas are often difficult for those who are grieving alone, struggling through change, and wondering when God's light will pierce the darkness of their lives. This worship service creates a quiet, comforting place where Christ can nurture hope in your despair, faith in your doubt, and love in your loneliness. Service begins at 7pm.
