This summer, All Saints' will be sending a team to serve for one week working on a variety of home and community repairs in the Appalachian communities of Cherokee, Clay, and Towns County, GA. Among these three counties, an average of 18% of residents live in poverty. Many are single parents, elderly, individuals with a disability, or people who are unemployed. Through projects like building ramps, porches, steps, painting, and helping with yard work, the goal is for each volunteer to grow in understanding of Appalachian culture and poverty, as well as to grow spiritually.
