What to expect on Sundays
All Saints’ is a sacramental community in the heart of Brier Creek seeking to gather people into communion with God, with one another, and with the world.
We are a United Methodist Church that meets weekly for word and table (liturgy and communion) on Sunday mornings, at 8:30 and 10:30. Our worship finds familiar roots from within the Catholic and Anglican Church that our Wesleyan denomination was born of, while staying modern in its presentation and welcoming to newcomers in the promise of Jesus’ kingdom come. Our congregation has become home to people from many different backgrounds, as we live into the fullness of United Methodist worship.
We believe that weekly worship forms us to be worshipful people in the world. Our liturgy is framed by the five-fold movements of Gathering, Proclamation, Response, the Eucharistic Feast, and the Sending Forth. Led by clergy and empowered volunteer laity each week, our liturgy lasts about an hour. You can see a sample bulletin below.
We have weekly Communion at All Saints’. John Wesley wrote that, “This is the food of our souls: This gives strength to perform our duty, and leads us on to perfection.” To find out more on what United Methodists believe about Communion, read more:
Also weekly, one of our pastors preaches from the lectionary for about ten to twelve minutes (not long, right?) as one of the centerpieces of the worship service. If you miss one or need to listen again a few days later, go to the link below.
Our music is led by our wonderful Minister of Music & Liturgy, Rozanna. She directs multiple volunteer teams full of talented volunteer and professional musicians. If you’d like to know more, and hear a few samples of sound before Sunday, check out the music page below.
